TubeWorks Privacy Policy

Effective date: 5 October 2026

1. Who we are

TubeWorks is an internal software tool operated by Engaij, Inc. ("Engaij", "we", "us"), a Delaware corporation. TubeWorks is used only by authorised Engaij staff to produce, publish and measure videos on YouTube channels that Engaij, Inc. owns. It is not offered to the public, and no outside person can sign up for it or connect their own account to it.

2. Use of YouTube API Services

TubeWorks uses YouTube API Services (the YouTube Data API and the YouTube Analytics API). By using TubeWorks, users agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Information accessed through YouTube API Services is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

3. What data TubeWorks accesses and stores, and why

TubeWorks accesses only the YouTube channels owned by Engaij, Inc., after an authorised Engaij staff member grants access through Google's OAuth consent screen. It accesses and stores:

  • Channel and video metadata for our own channels (titles, descriptions, thumbnails, captions, privacy status, publishing details) -- to upload and manage our own videos.
  • Aggregate analytics for our own videos (views, impressions, click-through rate, watch time, audience retention, subscribers gained, and estimated revenue once monetised) -- to decide what to make next and to improve our own content.
  • Public comments on our own videos -- read in aggregate for content feedback such as topic requests and correction reports. We do not build profiles of individual viewers and do not use comment data for advertising.
  • OAuth tokens (one refresh token per Engaij-owned channel) -- kept in a dedicated credential store, referenced by name and never written into code, accessible only to the TubeWorks service, and used only to act on our own channels.

Analytics are stored as aggregate numbers per video per day. TubeWorks does not request or store viewer-level analytics.

4. What we do not do

  • We do not sell, rent or share YouTube API data with any third party.
  • We do not use YouTube API data for advertising or to profile viewers.
  • We do not collect personal data from members of the public through TubeWorks. TubeWorks has no public sign-up, no public login and no user accounts other than authorised Engaij staff.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep YouTube API data only for as long as it is needed to operate our own channels. If access is revoked, or on request, we delete the stored OAuth tokens and the YouTube API data obtained under that authorisation within 30 days, except where a law requires us to keep a record for longer. Aggregate analytics are refreshed regularly and are not kept beyond what YouTube's developer policies permit.

6. How to revoke access

Access granted to TubeWorks can be revoked at any time through the Google security settings page for third-party access: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. Once access is revoked, TubeWorks can no longer access the channel, and the retention and deletion terms in section 5 apply.

7. Cookies

TubeWorks does not place cookies on, or collect data from, the browsers of YouTube viewers. This policy page itself is served by the Engaij website, whose use of cookies is described in the main Engaij Privacy Policy.

8. Security

Credentials are kept in a dedicated credential store and referenced by name rather than written into code. Access to TubeWorks is limited to authorised Engaij staff.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as TubeWorks changes. The effective date above shows when it was last revised.
